Introduction- In India,
linguistic diversity is highly visible, whose linguistic diversity of India is
closely associated with the oldest of history.
Various ethnic groups came here during different periods of history. These times became the size of here, so they
made a presence with their languages on the Indian linguistic scene. Thus, different languages of present-day
India have harmonized with different language families belonging to different
ethnic groups coming to India. Not only
this, there have also been mutual interactions between different ancient
languages over the years. Due to which
many new languages have originated.
Visual information regarding the language was collected in the 1961
census. According to the 1971 census
report, India has 1652 mother tongues and 187 languages. Of these 187, 94 languages are spoken by
less than 10,000 people. And there are
only 33 languages whose number of speakers is more than 100000. 97% of the country's population speaks only
23 languages. 18 languages are placed
in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution of India. Languages spoken by more than one lakh

The most spoken
language in India is Hindi which is spoken by more than 15 crore people, Telugu
and Bangla are in second and third position respectively, which are mostly
spoken in Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal respectively. It is impossible to understand or understand
any one language in the whole country due to the plethora of languages in
India, although the field of Hindi has grown progressively and it is becoming
the biggest contact language of the country, in fact it is only to become the
national language of India. Even though
Hindi has been given the status of official language of the Union of India, but
English has also got Sathiya status because some South Indian states are not in

The eighth
schedule of the Indian constitution includes 18 languages, of which 3 languages
